This short message to say hello from Switzerland.

I'm a long time member of the Handguns and ammos forum under the name "Larry". My interest is focused on handguns, pistols especially. With age, I turn more and more to wheelguns. I own a few rifles too. I shoot mostly the handguns, in a private range with a very friendly atmosphere.

I have a stong interest in history and technique and own, logically a few antiques (FN 1903, FN GP 35, Luger 08, Swiss Parabellum, Mauser C96...) along with modern designs (Sig P210, Sphinx P3000, Glock 19...). It may look exotic to you but the market is different here.

I owned in the past a S&W 2,5" M19 (from the 90s) and a 4" M15 (70s) that were finally sold. Now, I have a 2" M15, a 4" M10 (pencil barrel) and a 4" M19. As you can see, my heart goes for K-frame. I also have a 3" Manurhin MR73 that is sort of clone of S&W with a few differences.

Beside guns, I ride horses and bicycle, read a lot of historical, technical and entertainment stuff. I like movies too (western, action, etc.)

Well the introduction was not so short.

Bye.

Welcome from Baltimore, MD.(weekends) & Philadelphia, PA.( weekdays)
I own and enjoy the same type of guns as you, with the exception of the Sphinx, but I do own two CZ 75 one a retro and a CZ 85,as well as a CZ97B(45ACP) easier to get over here.
I also own two Luger's, a Broom-handle, Lahti, Browning High powers (Inglis), Styer M1912, Sig P-6, Beretta 92F and of course several variants of the venerable 1911 and 1911-A1. These are some of my favorite semi autos.I have owed several Glocks over the years but they are not for me, technically and mechanically interesting but just to much plastic and no external hammer.
My interest in revolver is almost exclusively in S&W, this is a relatively new area for me.Over the last several years I have purchased a 10,15,19,27,28,36,25,625 and 544 as well as two older S&W MP.I guess it would be fair to say the S&W bug bit me hard.I just can't seem to help my self, the quality of material, the fit and finish and of course the accuracy have total impressed me. The pre lock S&W revlovers in my opinion equal anything in quality Europe turned out in the pre war years.Sometimes simpler is better.

Welcome Laurent!

Always wanted a P210, so I'm envious. I suppose that particular gun would not be so unusual for someone in Switzerland, though.

What type of laws and restrictions do you have on handgun ownership and use in your country?

Welcome from Texas Laurent. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Always grand to have a new member of the S&W family join in from across the eastern pond.

Hallo Laurent

Good to have another Swiss here!

(You will find out soon that we got a lot of US-members here, but you will get used to it...somehow :D)
