I appreciate being a part of this esteemed group of handgun connoisseurs. I live in Kalifornia where rifles have to meet the "pretty" std to be legal (that is, no flash hider, no pistol grip, etc) and handguns have to be pounded into the the dirt a million times before they can be approved for sale.

I've been married for 28 years to a wonderful woman, and we have four children, two in college, and two in high school. I'm a first generation American, and US navy vet. I am multi-ethnic but consider myself first and foremost an American. I teach 7th grade world history, and coach youth sports.

I grew up with firearms and hunting as a way of life. My gun-safe runneth over with a lot of s&w's, a few Kimbers, and various other handguns. I also love long guns. For handguns I shoot mostly .38 special and .45 acp. My kids all shoot, and three out of the four hunt with me.

I wish S&W would re-introduce the old model 38 airweight with the shrouded hammer, but use scandium materials like my new 640 PD, so I could run +P loads through it. My current old model 38 is not rated for +P loads. I love the old shrouded hammer for snag free pocket carry, and option for a single action shot when and if needed.

Oops, sorry for the long intro. I talk too much, but I'm over fifty so I claim license.

Best Regards to you all,

Dpapa
