I'm new to the forum and fairly new to owning S&W. I recently bought a S&W model 4516-1 chambered in .45 ACP from a friend for a really good price, I think..... My wife bought me a S&W model 642 for Christmas (2014). I really love both handguns. I use the 4516-1 for target shooting and to have around for protection. I use the 642 for concealed carry (along with Glock 30 sometimes). The same guy that I bought the 4516-1 from also has a model 1006 chambered in 10mm that I will be getting soon also.
A little about me: I'm 36, married with 4 kids, retired police officer (CSI, medical retirement due to several knee injuries), I love shooting, archery, reloading ammo, camping, boating and riding my motorcycle. I also teach concealed weapon permit classes.
