Hello from the midwest

Old guy, sometimes hunter who just likes to shoot. While having no real "need", I finally stopped wishing and "pulled the trigger" and bought a gun I've been wanting for a good while. Picked up a 686 plus with a 6" barrrel. Beautiful gun! Can't wait for the weekend when I get to try her out.

A sincere welcome to you from Missouri, congrats on the great revolver.
I greatly desired a 686 after shooting one belonging to a friend, his was a 6" barrel. Shooting 38's the weight of the gun soaked up the recoil.
I opted for 4" barrel because I liked the balance a bit better.
