Palmetto State Arms says the Stakeout model has a nickel plated stainless slide and frame. Other sites only say they’re nickel plated steel.
I could find anything on their(Tisas or SDS) websites.
Anyone know?

I seriously doubt it has a nickel plated stainless slide. Plating stainless is not very commonly done with firearms, at least not by the manufacturer. I expect it is a case of being a nickel plated, carbon steel 1911 with a stainless barrel.

I agree but here’s the spec sheet

My infomation came from Tisa's website. This is from Palmetto's store. Probably one of the gun experts there wrote it up. He is mistaking the silver finish as nickel instead of the stainless it is........ Most shops change counter people like the rest of us change our underwear.

Or got it opposite, many mistakenly call nickel or hard chrome finishes stainless steel.
