I was sent a posting from another member for a gun selling on one of the bigger named on line auction sites. It is for a nickel steel framed Model 39-2 S/N A284375. As far as I could ever determine, S&W never made a steel frame 39-2. The gun is sans the short tang which is a tell tell sign, I have messaged the seller for proof such as a factory label or magnet test on the frame but no reply yet. I only mention this here as I noticed some members are bidding on it. if anyone needs to see it PM for a link.
