hello comrad, I too am new to the forums. welcome. in regards to your 6906 I cannot comment on that specific model but I do own its predecessor the model 469.I believe the are very comparable. I have only owned that handgun for about 6 months. initially I had acquired it to be a higher capacity CC weapon then the snub nose model 37 revolver that I currently have and planned to pass along to my wife. the 469 is almost identical in appearance to the 6906 and a 12 round capacity is also a plus. the 469 has a nice feel in your hand, a solidly made weapon , weighty and very little composite material. Specifically the composite is on the grip. the grip is short but the magazine extension give a good feel in your hand .I also like the safety features incorporated. And the gun is much more slender than a revolver. my weapon will not function without a magazine inserted. and I like the decocker and double action. my only complaint would be that the sights seem a little awkward and difficult to get used to, hard see in low light also. the rear sight can be drifted out. but the front side would have to be ground off. as far as the saying goes well that's my problem not the gun. and considering that I am good at acquiring weapons but I am NOT good at getting rid of them I'll just have to put a few 1000 more rounds through her to get used to the sighting. If at all possible get your hands on one to get a feel for it prior to a purchase.i would also like to add that take down of the gun can be a bit tricky as the slide should be place about halfway back to release the take down pin opposed to pulling the slide back fully. Another bonus for my 469 is that the magazines are compatable with my Marlin 9mm camp carbine rifle. Not sure if the 6906 magazine is compatable with any other weapons but i always try to investigate that too. I hope i have helped and my 469 can be compared to your 6906. Good luck and have fun

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I am still in search of a nice 6906. The dream would be one in the box with paperwork but I might have to let the box dream go. Funny, I always buy guns with the box and paperwork and the first thing I do is take it out of the box and put the box away forever, so maybe I don't need the box.
I do like the extra safety features of the 6906, along with the decocker I really do like a magazine safety. Some day I'll be gone and I hate the thought of some family member dropping the magazine and not checking for a chambered round and bang. I'm mostly a S&W revolver guy but feel the need to add a very much under appreciated 6906 to my stable. I'm seeing nice ones in the 400.00 range, guess that's the going rate??
Got another dilemma, I have a model 30-1 new, unfired in the box. I bought it on a whim and expected to shoot it then thought maybe not. So the question is "to shoot or not?" I don't think there is a lot of collector value in it to begin with. I had no idea when I bought it that .32 is such a pain to find.
