Hello from Austin Texas...joined up because I figured this to be the best place to get information on a recent purchase. I picked up this revolver from a family friend for 60.00. They had it in their family for awhile and were not comfortable having it around. I know it doesn't look very good from the outside, but I was wondering how to tell if it could still be used for target practice. I have attached photos I have taken of it to help. Let me know. I am not very familiar with S&W revolvers, I usually collect military milsurp, Mosin-nagant, Enfields, etc. any help is appreciated. Looking forward to being a member and participating as much as possible. Thanks again.

no problem.....its nice to find such a pleasant gun forum...some of the others I have been on, you almost become afraid to post anything unless you are absolute expert in the field......I am hoping to find some people I can ask simple questions of and not be treated like a complete imbocile because am just now learning about firearms, collecting them and such
