Hi all. I'd like to introduce myself to your community. I am a 59 year old tradesman, and live in the Denver Metro area. My first love is military type rifles, including anything from the smokeless powder introduction to current issue. I also have a love of Smith & Wesson wheel guns. My first was a model 686, with a six inch barrel. Then I picked up a .38 Safety Hammerless. My next acquisition was a pre model 10 target model, followed by a couple of J frames. I lucked out when I stumbled across a 16-4 with an 8 3/8" barrel in really nice condition. My most recent purchase was last weekend, when I found a pre Victory model in .38 S&W with Canadian military proofs. The one thing they all have in common is a wonderfully smooth action, whether fired in single or double action. I do enjoy learning about firearms and their place in history. I remember that feeling when I was 21 years old, back from Europe, just out of the army, and thought I knew everything. Thanks to a few added years, and forums such as this one, I realize just how little I do know. Please, keep on informing me, there is so much more to learn before I cash in my chips. Thank you to all of you for your knowledge.
