I tried to register earlier today and found out I already was with my user name, so I had to request a new password.

Anyhow, I lurked around here in the past because I love S&W revolvers!

Not a whole to say about myself. I'm retired Army and work for them as DA Civilian now. My home/house is in FLA, but I work on Fort Hood Texas.

I've been shooting and reloading for awhile. I think the .44 S&W Spl is a wonderful cartridge, about my favorite (especially when reloaded). I own two S&W model 624s, a 6 1/2" and a 4". Both capable of wonderful accuracy, much better than I can do with them.

I'm also very fond of the .357 magnum and think the 686 is about the ideal model/platform to shoot them from. I have a 686 from the 80s when they first came out, but my wife claims it as hers! I do get to shoot it now and again and clean it, of course.

I'm a reloading fool and reload for about 20 different calibers. I'm in to MILSURPS/C&R guns, as well.

Hi Big Chief! I just signed on to! I'm a retired Marine Vietnam combat veteran. Have worked in Law Enforcement & Private Investigations since early 70's. I Love Great Guns! X-C3 dealer in Exotic High Speed weapons. My all time favorite S&W? I owned a S&W M-76 9mm SubGun for a few years - I miss that gun lots! My EDC recently upgraded from 9mm to .357 Mag. S&W PC 327 21 ounce Scandium & Titanium 2"bbl Super Belly Gun carried in a Very Nice Desantis Holster & Belt combo also acquired from S&W - it is OWB & much more comfortable than the 9mm IWB I used to EDC. Great Gun! I also own a S&W M-13 .357 3" SS RB & a S&W M-317 Air Weight Snubbie .22. I am wondering what is everyone's Favorite Defense Load for the PC 327 .357? All 4 now!

I think you have a model 13 that is Nickel plated or a model 65 which were SS. I inherited a model 13 the old man owned, it is Nickel plated with recessed cylinder charge holes. Dandy .357, but are built around a .38 K frame as were the model 19s and their SS ilks.

I fired a lightweight S&W .357 before and the phrase "Carried a lot and fired little" applies there. Wow, even .38 +Ps are a handful. My limit is a S&W 629 RB/unfluted cylinder I own with a 3" bbl .44 mag. Shooting should be fun, not painful.
