Hello, folks. I just bought a Talo Model 686 plus with a 3" barrel. I spent a lot of time reading sites like this before settling on the 686 but I bought the Talo in a blind comparison(in more ways than one?) with the regular 686. And yes, I'm pretty sure I paid too much, but I like buying local. 
I found the cylinder spun a little smoother than the regular 686 and I really like the 3" barrel. Although the "custom" wood grips feel just fine in my hand, we'll see what my opinion is after a few rounds. The unfluted barrel definitely drew my eye as well.
