Additionally, I use some Spectracide (or similar) hose-end application of insecticide that is spayed in the yard to ward off ants, ticks, fleas, etc.
With the combo of the Ortho inside and around the exterior perimeter (including around all windows and doors) and the hose-end stuff around the house and yard outside, I have pretty much rid the house of ants. Plus, no more ant mounds in the middle of the lawn. The hose-end stuff also protect my pets from picking up too many ticks, feas, etc when I let them out to do their business and run around the yard.
The hose end stuff is also good for on and under my low rear deck and front porch where many 6 legged critters hide.
