This is a straight WAG given no photo and very little data.
Based on the serial number it could be a .32 Double Action 4th Model. Their s/n's ranged from 43406 thru about 282,999. They were made between 1883 and 1909.
The last 32 Safety produced was sn 242,981, while there were over 327,000 32 Double Action revolvers made. It would have shipped from the factory around 1905, so is considered a "modern" firearm by the BATF.
