An update on the nickeled M&P:
Well, I decided to let this one go. I was on the fence about it until the last minute.....but the fact that it was most likely a refinished gun, I decided to wait for something better to come along.
I want to thank everyone for the help and education over the last week! Had it not been for you guys I would brought the gun home without knowing any better. It honestly was a nice gun, but just not the one for me. The grips were perfect, and the action was nice, but the refinish just was a deal breaker for me. Even though it was very nicely done. I never did take the grips off. I didn't want to mess with the gun at all if I wasn't going to be keeping it.
Thanks again everyone.
