I have just inherited a S&W 22lr revolver. It has no mod #, only the ser # on the butt.
It is a 3 3/8" bbl, 3 screw sideplate, adj sights, alloy frame, sq. butt, ser. # 153xx. It was my dads, prob bought in 60s or 70s; any info appreciated. Thanks

Welcome! This is a .22/32 Airweight Kit Gun from the mid-1950s, just before it would have been stamped model 43. The steel frame equivalent (much more common) is the standard Kit Gun, in those days offered in 2 and 4". Yours is a nice plinking/trail gun and brings pretty high prices in nice condition. Hope this is helpful.
