Help Ito identify this Holster S&W

That's called a semi-shoulder holster, worn crossdraw attached to a belt, the paddle raising the gun up under the inside of the arm. As you've found out, you can detach the paddle and wear the holster like a regular one, too. Clark/Bucheimer, Brauer, Jay-Pee and a few other older holster makers used to make them. That's the first S&W-marked one I've seen. Nice find. What is the design on the snap button?

No idea. Maybe someone with an old S&W holster catalog can look up the size code for you. I would guess a J-frame or maybe a K snub.
It's not an actual shoulder holster, it was called a "semi-shoulder holster" because the paddle raises the gun up off the beltline putting the gun roughly in the same position a shoulder holster does. It is not an IWB holster. This is how the rig looks when put together:

B24-32 is for K frame 2" and
B24- 62 is for a J Frame 2"

Hello fellow enthusists. This is my first post. I have the exact same black holster only the tops of the two snap buttons are stamped BUCHEIMER. On the back of the paddle is stamped Semi Sholder and B1015.
