My M627PC's came from the factory with the front Dovetail red ramp sight, it wasn't quite centered. It is really tight and in trying to move it with a soft brass punch it marred it a bit. I stopped as I did not want to mess with tapping harder on a $850.00 handgun. So I am going to order a new sight from S&W and my question is looking downrange from the rear sight with the extractor button being the left side of the gun. Which way does the sight tap out for removal? From the way it looks it would be from the extractor side pushing to the right. And being that is is being real stubborn would a bit of Kroil help it along? Should I attempt this or send it in to S&W to have them do it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Most things (roll pins, etc) on handguns push out from right to left. Clamp the barrel securely and tap gently.

And to determine right or left, would the cylinder release knob be left or right side of the gun? I don't want to mess this one up in any way.
