I bought a 1" leather sling for my Winchester "Ranger" 30/30, my new Cowboy Assault Weapon and Survival Rifle. No rifle is complete without a sling, so I have a set of Uncle Mikes Quick Disconnect swivels coming for it, and hope to make this sling work:

As you can see, it requires some sort of button to fasten the upper portion of the sling to the QD's. I have the same set up on a Romanian .22 Military training rifle. Here's a pic taken with a magnifying glass, as that sling is only 3/4" wide and the button is quite small:

By the way, the original Romanian sling was made of some cheap plastic, I got a shoe repair guy to make me a proper sling.

Anyway, what are these fasteners called, and where can I find one? Anyone out there have one lying around that they might part with for a few shekels?

My alternative if I can't find one is to bring the QD and sling to the shoe repair guy and have him sew it on.

Thanks,

Be sure to use some type of locktite, fingernail polish, or something to secure the Chicago screw. They do come unscrewed. Used on a lot of horsetack, reins, bridles, etc. and have seen them work loose, usually when you least want it to come loose!
