Help me pick the perfect revolver.

Welcome to the forum............

There are many great guns out there. I agree with the thought of a mountain gun in .44 mag or preferably .45 Colt. These are great for a four inch gun and they are easy to maintain. They are packable and can be shot with standard loads or beefed-up a bit. The .357 is a great round for it's purpose of defense in a small, lightweight frame like the M&P 340 or the M&P 360. At 15 oz. (give or take) loaded, you can carry one easily all day long and with a minimal "print" in your pocket. They are wicked to shoot with full-house loads, but it is give and take with light conceal-ability and power. A .44 or .45 Colt can handle all sorts of stuff from the bedstand to the desert. Specials can be fired in the .44 platform and cowboy loads can be shot out of the .45 Colt. Yes, I'm steering you in the direction of a larger caliber. It's the versatility of using it in the woods or desert ,not just the concrete jungle. I HIGHLY recommend that you choose carefully and don't settle, even if it means saving longer than you want to. I know the itch to get something is persistent and nagging, but you will be happy even if your quest is longer than you want it to be. I'll put a few pics. of some food for thought. M&P 360 .357,25-7 .45 Colt 5 inch, and 29 .44 mag 4 inch.
