A gentlemen offered me a trade for a 460 2" revolver. This is not the survival kit model. I am having a nearly impossible time finding anything about this gun or its value. Gunbroker only offered up a singular example with a bright stainless finish. I attached the 2 pics he sent me. I don't find the gun practical, but I do find it of possible interest in regards to the novelty of it and potential value due to rarity. I don't have that listed anywhere in my S&W book. Any ideas?!

Thanks in advance.

That is the 460ES with the 2.75” barrel. It is very similar to the Bear Survival Kit gun with a more subdued stock color. Most recent sales have been in the low $1K range. A fairly scarce gun.

Pity. That cartridge is wasted in that short barrel. You never mentioned what Your potential trade is. Makes a difference. I agree with the value being near $1000. I wouldn't pay that, but if My trade was less I might consider it.

The picture revolver is SKU 150152. It was offered from 2006 to 2007.
It is the 460 ES, which came in three different offering.

SKU 150125 which is similar to the pictured gun but with a green Hiviz site.

The third is the yellow griped version which came in the Emergency Kit.

Ruggy, thank you for the model numbers! I need to get a more recent version of the encyclopedia ASAP.

That is the issue. I have a Radian model 1 10.3" pistol that I do not need. He is offering the 460 with box, etc., an excellent condition Kimber Desert Warrior, $200 cash, a bunch of ammo for both, and a Delta Point Pro. The unknown was the S&W.

I'd go with $500 cash. Then I'll give you $900 for the S&W and ammo-you get the Kimber Desert Warrior, $1400 cash and a bunch of .45ACP
