Hello all..

Quick story. Former LEO, etc. now still competitively shoot. Carried a 66 for many years back in the day. Enjoy others as well, 1911, etc. but still would just trust my life to revolver. Has always gone bang.

Anyway, lately I have fallen in love with revolvers again. In the past month have picked up a 19-3 4" blue (85%), 19-5 4" nickel last night on my way home (99%), a Colt Detective Special 3rd gen. 2" (99%) and a new J-frame 640 engraved.

Help! I will use the 19's for IDPA and maybe the others for BUG and carry. If I come across a 99% 66 I know my bank account will suffer another hit.

Nothing like the feel of a solid revolver with slick action.

Well, welcome aboard. You are in like company here, as most of us are "Revolver fanatics". Have you tried any N Frame revolvers, such as the 27 or 28? Or perhaps a 25 or 625 for IDPA with moon clips? It takes some will power to keep your bank intact.

Thank you for the welcome. Always looking for a 27. Seems to be the holy grail to me and i miss out. the N frames are rather large for my hand but I must, i must, have a 27. Had a 625 years ago now owned by my brother so i can still get my hands on that.

Welcome aboard! This is a great place for anyone that recognizes that S&Ws made some great revolvers. Lot of knowledge here! We all suffer from wallet anemina when it comes to our lust for Smiths. You might try for a Model 28, a really good old LEO gun that is the same N frame as the M27 and a lot more economical. Hope to see you here with lots of posts and photos of your new finds. Great to have you with us.
