Please help me price this model 25-2 from the late 70's or 80's. It is about 95% just a little holster wear and turn line.

I bought one new back when your gun was showing up in all the shops. It actually came in a cardboard box to protect the presentation box. I didn't like it much, but it was fun too look at and admire. . .unloaded it pretty quickly. Now I wish I had it back. The big N Frame guns (and I had them all) just didn't do much for me. I would expect to see your gun out for sale around here for around $1200.00. It's a bit more desirable than the 8 and 3/8 inch barrel nickel M29. It's raining them here in Middle Georgia for $1200.00 each. They don't sell. Nobody wants them. I've located 3 in the past week at that price. Your gun is blue and in a more sought after caliber. I think it would bring that price pretty quickly here.

In the Midwest it might not bring quite as much, but it looks like it is in the 95-97% condition from what I can see, and I'd hope to get $1050 to $1100 for it.

I bought one in Arizona last year for $875 similarly configured; of course market conditions vary. To get a better idea, suggest you try searching the "sold" listings on the various internet auction sites Good luck...

Howdy, Newbie Tombstoner here, I joined to fulfill my quest to validate the birth of my 25-2. Story is Jovino's contacted gunsmith Franny Longdon at the S&W factory and he then made 6 Model 25s with BOTH 45 Colt and 45 Auto cylinders on the QT. My source worked at the Jovino Gun Shop in the 1970s, and was supposed to get one, but was too young, and it was sold to someone else. I have one with both cylinders numbered to the gun, with an 8 3/8" barrel. S&W letter says it left with the 6" barrel. Anybody know people from either the factory or gun shop I might contact, or know anything yourself? My gun would appreciate it. Thanks, Bruce in Tombstone.

I just bought one on GB for $900. Seller said he bought it new, put about 50 rounds through it, been in the safe ever since. It is a nice gun! It even came with 3 blasting caps in the case !
