Help this pin/rod fell out

So I just changed the rbound spring and I put everything back together on my trr8 and it seems to work fine. However I noticed this pin/rod and I'm not sure where it goes. Please help me identify where this goes

It probably is an added cross pin to the grip installation. Look at the hole in the grip frame just below your finger. The grips must be a special installation. That pin was probably a trigger over travel stop pin that was originally inside the rebound block spring. It was removed when the trigger stop was added behind the trigger. ..... At this point your handgun does not need it installed inside the rebound block. The grip installation probably needs it more. .....

Yes- it holds the firing pin in place. The sideplate holds the straight pin in it's place.
