Between GI ads and completed GB auctions, I don’t normally have much issue coming up with a valuation on most guns I offer for sale. That said, this Ladysmith 36-9 has been giving me a bit more of an issue coming up with a reasonable price. Hoping the members here can help one of the quiet members come up with a price. No box/papers/bag and there is one tiny spot of rust just forward of the top of the cylinder release (visible in pic 4). Aside from that, the gun is in very nice condition. If more photos would help, I’m glad to add them. TIA.

I would buy quick at $400 - $450

The last two 36-9 sales I saw in the completed section of Gunbroker went for $475 and $750. The cheaper one had obvious wear from being carried, the more expensive one looked pristine apart from a slight turn line.

However, if we open up the search to more than just -9s, there are quite a few nice Model 36 that sold for $5-600. The ones that go for $700+ tend to be pristine pre-lock, pre-MIM examples with boxes and/or nickel finishes.

I wouldn't go much over $500. The grips don't necessarily have much value to me, but they might for you. As prices get closer to $600, a new 36-10 Classic no-lock would start to get appealing. Good 4 Guns has them for $650+ shipping.

I agree with Beju. I have hunted down several used J frames over the last few years. And have managed to acquire all of them for no more than $500 and most for $450 or less.
The only exception was a 60-14 Lady Smith with box and papers which ended up at $575 out the door.
