Help with 19-4 DOB

I am new to the thread and S&W for that matter. I have 2 MDL 19's..one -8 / 4" and the other -4 / 2.5". The -4 is the one in question. I would like some info on this gun if anyone can help. The serial number is 27K00XX and on the crane it is stamped 96686 with an overstamp of those numbers of 87. Thanks.

The DOB is 1977 and the other numbers are production process numbers used by manufacturing.

Dates to 1978.
The other numbers are assembly numbers and inspection numbers and have no meaning once it leaves the factory.
