how do i find out what year this gun is?

Provide the serial number here and someone will advise the year born

Post up the serial number found on the bottom of the frame...you may have to remove the stocks/grips in order to see it. Be sure to post "all" letters and numbers found on the bottom. With that info someone will eventually come along and be able to tell you approximately when the revolver was made.
