Yes, somebody modified it to round butt configuration.
If it were my gun, since it has already been modified, I would get the barrel cut back to 3-1/2", or 3-1/4", or as short as I could and yet keep the full length of the ejector rod. Then I would polish (starting with 320 grit paper and stopping with 1000 grit backed by rubber or wooden sanding blocks- don't use a powered buffer) and re-blue it myself (yes you CAN do it yourself, using hot blue from Brownells and a tank made from an old USGI ammo can, and a propane grill as a heat source). Then I would get a nice set of Ahrends wooden round butt N frame grips of one type or another, and have myself a first class revolver.
