I recently acquired a 39-2 that is still very tight. It is showing some wear on the alum frame from being stored in a leather holster. I would like to have it refinished, its just to nice to be left in its current state. I called Smith, and they wont touch it! They have broken too may frames by trying to remove the pressed in slide stop. I have never had much luck with cold bluing…………………

Any suggestions????? I sure could use a bit of help on this one.

Also, I would like to get a set of factory walnut grips for it. I haven’t been able to find any anywhere.

Does anyone know where I might find a set?

Thanks

You might try Customized Creations. for a re-finish. and grips can be found fairly easily, watch Gunbroker.com and Ebay. I will look and see if I have any left.
