GREEN SPOT ORANGE is still available !

Unfortunately it is now made in S.E. Asia and not imported into the U.S. ! You can get a bottle on your next trip to Bangkok !

My local soda supplier stocks over 250 different brands but is unable to import GREEN SPOT !

A real shame, it is.. that you gotta go to Bangkok to get one, I'll probably just go on "wanting" forever.

Ah well, they still brew Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale (the REAL thing..) here in the 'Ham. Some things that you can believe in haven't changed !!!!

Nice, huh ?? Glad I let you have that monkeyed-up Harry Jarvis thing, right Mike ?? 'Twas one of my favorite long-term keepers. that's for sure.

Uhhh...yep!

This may be a dumb question, but if I don't ask, I can't learn.

I thought the sight blades were pinned to the ramp. In the photo it looks as if the blade and ramp are one piece, so they must be pinned to the rib? There definately looks to be a seem at the end of the ramp/barrel between the ramp and the rib itself. I realize that some ramps were pinned to the rib, but they usually have pins down lower where they can pass through the ramp and rib, not up higher like the picture shows. Am I blind?

Larry,
Is it a 6.5"? It looks it.
Does it have a White Outline?

I see no evidence of a reblue.

I would question the target trigger as original. Not impossible but extremely unlikely and if one thing has been modified you wonder about the rest of the gun.
Why? We know it has a TH and TG.

You can see the pin holding the blade to the ramp. The ramp is pinned with two pins that you can't see in the pic because they are polished flush.

If the gun has a WO, I would suspect someone ordered it with all the goodies. Particularly if it is a 6.5".
Perhaps he wanted a match for his 44 mag.

I have an early 27-2 (sn S2684XX) 6.5" that has a front sight almost identical to that one...

I also saw this gun on the auction and thought those smooth "coke-looking" grips were beautiful. I have a set of rosewood ones that are identical in shape to my Model 29 cokes (including the palm swell and the more elliptical, less oval, less square, shape of the bottom of the grips). Here they are on a snubby S-series 27-2 (S2552XX):

Hi Lee,
Yes it has a WO rear sight and the blue is original. Barrel is just shy of 6.5". Grips fit perfect. Nothing except the front ramp sight would make me believe anything else has been done to this 27.

I would letter it if I was going to keep it.
Like I said, somebody ordered it in the config of the 29's.
Neat gun.
