Help with a M&P Pro series

Good afternoon Everyone,
I was hoping someone on the forum could help me find or direct me to a user manual.
I live in Singapore where gun laws are very strict and importing new firearms is a complicated procedure to say the least. I have just purchased second hand an M&P pro series (5' barrel) from a member of my gun club here but unfortunately he does not seem to have kept the user manual.
I am looking at replacing the back plate as he had put in something custom which is not particularly to my liking but would like to go through the manual to get the correct part/serial number to order... Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Well, I can tell you that the M&P users manual is generic for all M&Ps and does not contain part diagrams or numbers. Back plates for the slide are available here from S&W and aftermarket companies, but I don't know how you would order from Singapore.

Here in Singapore, we need to go through authorized importers and the cost and bureaucracy involved is quite depressing ...
I will check with the link and see if they can help me out.

any chance you could sand it off? piece on fine sand paper, on a sheet of glass or mirror. Unless it is cut into the plate, should sand right off. Use super fine wet or dry sandpaper and some slightly soapy water, and you will end up with a nice satin finish I bet.

I just looked at my M&P 2.0 10mm. My plate is gently curved, and has a raised lip. But it might work on yours, especially until you get the right part.

Thanks for your replies.
I might try that as well, I am talking with the previous owner to see what he did with the original part as well.
Will talk with the importer as well on the piece and if he can get hold of it ...
Unfortunately, it is quite a challenge to be a firearm enthusiast and owner here in Singapore ...
