i occasionally buy old boxes of ammo at flea markets, and gunshows, especially if i have an old gun in that caliber. i really don't know much about most of it. can anyone nail down an approximate year-range/era for any of these? any help is appreciated!
first one is remington 38s&w:

second one is peters 38s&w. this is a pretty nice box, and mint cartridges. i got them from an old guy who used to own a gunshop. i had bought a couple of guns from him back in the day, and i saw him at a gunshow a few weeks ago. he is a nice guy. he thought they were from the early 60's.

6th one is western 25auto. this one is pretty nice, and the cartridges look like new, too.

if anyone has any input, i appreciate it. i was just kindly trying to match up some old ammo with the same era guns.

thanks!

#5 is a Olin era Winchester box from 1946-1955 or so.

The others are post 1961 boxes. Don't know what the shutoff date on those designs was.

Keep in mind that the 38 Colt New Police is interchangeable with the 38 S&W. The green Remington boxes I first purchased in 22 Long Rifle in late 1957, and I bought my first box of 32-20 in that green box in 1958. Don't have a personal reference for the rest of them.
