Need info on date of production for S&W Model 19-3. S/N is 12K47XX

DOM is 1977.

S&W Model 10-2 Serial C552XXX

I just inherited these 2 guns. They belonged to my Grandfather and were his when he was a police officer from '57 through '87. I am honored to have them!
I look forward to passing them on to my children one day!

K944963 would most likely been manufactured in late 1969.

It may have been 'born' or shipped at a later date.
