I received a .22 Revolver from a family member and would appreciate knowing the date.
1) Hand Ejector
2) Serial shows K 58XX0 (just the letter and 5 digits)
3) 22 Long Rifle CTG
4) 6" Barrel
5) Adjustable Sight looks to be Post War

I am including some pictures and it does look like the current model 17. Really just wanted to know an approximate date although an approximate value or range would be great.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome! I would guess this one to be in the $600-650 range, and also that you get along well with your family :). Enjoy!

Really is a great pistol. It is light enough to let the bride use it and yet fun for me at the same time. Just wish that the .22 LR was easier to find!

Welcome to the forum.

Very nice and an early one! K frames have fixed sights and target models such as yours are KT frames.

Prairieschooner, welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your K22. If you have not yet had a chance to shoot it, you will find it to be a delight to shoot and very accurate.

Everyone here has been great with information on this K-22. Really was given it for self defense in our Motorhome.
I have taken it out to the Arizona Desert and shot some bottles, etc. and made sure that the Bride knows how to handle it safely.
