How can you tell the difference between N and K frame target grips without having a gun or both types together?:)

The easiest way I found is to look at the back of them, specifically the area between the back edge of the washer and the back of the grip.

The difference is great enough you should be able to tell it just by looking at it, in person, or in pictures.

That is a good way. I now have several N size and no K's because without the gun it is hard to tell.

Thanks

If you compare the same area as shown in the picture from the rear, the width of the "shelf" is greater on the N frames.. If you once look at the two grips together, it becomes pretty easy to tell the difference.

The shoulder of the stocks that abuts the edge of the frame is approximately the same width on both sides of the stock washer for N Frame stocks. On K Frame stocks the shoulder behing the stock washer is roughly 1/2 the width of the portion in front of the washer.

Like Iggy said, compare them side by side and it will be obvious.
