With my recent purchase of the Mod 64 trade in, I’m giving some thought to having a set of Novac type sights installed. Not stuck on them, just want something that works. This model has the two piece barrel, so, can a set of sights be installed, what kind would I use, and who’s the best to do the job?

I also would be interested in this. Hopefully some one can enlighten us.

Since the response was kinda slim, I decided to start filing on the front sight to get poi to poa at 15 yds +/-. I think I’m there. More testing today.

If your talking about milling the rear top of the frame for a slot and installing Novack rear sites and the same for the front, I would expect
that the labor would be fairly expensive, in addition to the costs of the sites. It also would depend on whether you wanted three dot white sites or night sites. I have been using Clark Custom Guns in Princeton, Louisiana, for the past 40 years and have no complaints. They could probably handle it. If you call, ask for Clay. He is fairly knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

Thanks for the info. I’m thinking more on the lines of a black rear sight and a gold bead front. Just thinking right now.

Take a look at Ted Yost's work and sights. He is top flight!
