Help with Scope Puchase

I would like to get a scope for my 15-22 and know nothing about them can you guys help?

I use a Nikon P-22 and its great! I know a few others that like the UTG bugbuster and it's a little bit cheaper.

Probably would help if we knew a bit more about your intended use for the scoped gun. There are a lot of choices out there and what works for one person's shooting habits probably won't satisfy another person's needs.

Sightmark is good for the money but make sure you do some homework and just don't dive in and buy something your not going to be happy with

Well I am thinking we will use it max at 100 yards to hit steel targets but will want to be able to target shoot at 15 yards.

You might look at the Simmons .22mag 3-9x32 adjustable objective scope. It is well suited for the 15-22, and it won't break the bank (less than $100). They come in matte black or silver and mounting rings included.

I have had mine for a year or so and have not had ANY problems with it!

The Simmons .22MAG 3-9x is a good scope for ~$50. I've got one on a Marlin 60 and my daughter can hit 2" targets at 50 yards just fine with it. I just got one of these for my XT-22 in .22WMR, and it is one heck of a scope for $130: Mueller APV 4.5-14 If you want a LARGE step-up from the Simmons, check the Mueller out. Whatever you get, make sure it has an adjustable objective due to the varying distances you want to shoot.

I'm using a BSA 3-12X30 on a 3/4" riser on my 15-22. It zeroes well at 100-yards, is of reasonable optical quality, and has adequate eye-relief (for me at least). It does require the use of a small screwdriver to reset the turrets which can be a bother but it cost less than $50 at Sportsman's Guide and meets my very un-serious needs. It's nothing fancy but if it gets bashed in the field I'm not out very much money!

Scope for Performance Center

I got a Performance Center version of the 15-22 (paid around $800).

Ordered a Leupold VX-2 4-12x40 from SWFA.com ($450).

Not the cheapest choice but I like to put reasonably good glass on my rifles.
