Trying to help sis-in-law with value of 3 older Smiths. A 14-3, 15-2, 18-3. Anyone have a blue book of gun values to help me out? Thanks

I would buy one but is first time needing one. Trikerider

A word of advice. Book values aren't much good IMO. They are out of date by the time they get through the printing process.

Prices vary by location but if you want a good idea, check completed auctions on the major gun auction sites.

If you want to get a realistic range of values for your guns, create an account on Gunbroker and click on the Advanced Search feature and do a search for completed auctions for the gun you want to get pricing for.

You have to join to search the completed auctions but you'll find actual selling prices for guns like yours. It is worth the effort.

The 14-3 has Target hammer and trigger and pinned barrel. The 15-2 has same. The 18-3 just pinned barrel. 14-3 is approx 1973, 15-2 is approx 1963, 18-2 is approx 1971. Not sure of condition, but appear pretty good and clean.

I would think the 14 and 18 should bring 500 or a little more depending on condition...the snub could bring6 to the right person, again, based on condition.

In February I was offered almost the exact same 3 guns except the 15 was a 4". We agreed on a package deal of $1500. I was pleased with my purchase and so was the seller.
Just my 2 cents worth;
Mike

Assuming excellent condition my guess would be (just a guess) 400, 500 & 500. Many variables. You never know until you try to sell.
