Help with value of pre-war 38/44 6.5" HD with box

Condition 95%, noticeable turn line - nice stocks.

Blue with red interior old style picture box is very good, no writing on bottom. Sorry, no pics.

Rethinking passing it at $2000... What do you think?

I think that is an excellent price for just the gun. Add in the box...

S&W did not make a blue picture box for the Heavy Duty 6.5" which was a special order item and never cataloged. The box may be a 38/44 Outdoorsman box and if the gun has adjustable sights the box would be correct.
