Several years ago I purchased a Cold Steel Military Classic. As you can see, this is a copy of a Randall number one.
It comes with a black micarta handle, which is extremely slippery. All the Randalls I have seen have a stag handle, which because of the lumps and valleys should give you a good grip.
I am seeking suggestions on how to make this less slippery and more grippable. If I was a stock maker and was experienced in checkering, I would checker this thing, but I'm not so I don't.
The only thing I can come up with is skateboard tape. Either that or paint it with glue and then sprinkle fine sand on it. I'm not really thrilled with either thought.
