I bought some gun stuff at an estate auction and this swivel/barrel band was in the mix....It seems like it fits a large barrel and the swivel is large to me as well.... I have tried to reverse search it and can't find it....The lot also included M1914 Breech block, M1928 Thompson butt swivel, Garand combination tool, Two M1 carbine piston nut wrenches, a demilled M14 bipod, an M1 carbine blank firing adapter and numerous other junk.

Anybody know what this is?

I could be to attach a sling to a shotgun like the Winchester 1897 trench gun.
I thought the same thing, but I looked it up on google images, and it looked different....Come to think of it though, it sure does rhyme with it. That sling swivel is very close and unlike any others I have seen.

Maybe a sling mount for a standard riot gun?
After looking closely at multiple guns today online, I think it is a military riot swivel for a Model 97 or a Model 12 Winchester...Possibly Vietnam era, as it looks like old parkerizing instead of bluing.

I found two more parts to a 97 Winchester in the box, so that's probably what it is.

I bet it is one of those parts that somebody is scouring gun shows, parts bins in gun shops, and internet sights hoping to find.
