I picked this up at a gunshow a while back, vendor had about 100 boxes but no info on original source. Markings appear GI to me, maybe for Armed Forces pistol team...?...

I do remember the CMP furnishing junior rifle clubs ammo with similar bland packaging - white box and minimal black lettering.
What T-Squared said. Government contract by Winchester. Furnished to CMP and therefore to Jr. shooting clubs.

Actually its the other way around. Winchester is a division of the Olin Corporation.

Local gun shop got some of the same stuff in this summer it's LRN. Picked up couple thousand rounds just for plinkin
Goes bang every time! CCI Mini Mag started showing up and bought all they would sell me. Lately a ton of CCI factory seconds have been showing up all over town, seems like everybody got them at the same time packaged 200 to a box for about $12.00.

They sure did/do Joe, but there's no question about what it was for if it's .38 Special ball. The .22LR is another story. Here's some more not commonly seen...
