It's more a question of numbers than "green" counties vs. "white" ones, the problem lies in less than half the population of NY living in the former.
Also, I hate to be a negative nelly but even if this asinine law is overturned, I sincerely doubt that the five boroughs and Long Island are ever going to follow suit with the rest of New York.

They need to split NYS in two and make NYC its own state and let the rest of us live the way we want to.

Better idea is the people that do not want to live under thios constitution that guarentees our rights....need to relocate to some place that does not allow citizens to own firearms....maybe Rawanda? this is our heritage and we have had guns as long as I have been alive and long before that. If folks don't like it....they have the freedom to leave....I would gladly buy Finestein a one way ticket to the country of her choicew....just dont come back.

I understand that there is a precedent already in place to support this: Virginia and West Virginia with respect to their political positions in the U.S. Civil War/War Between The States.
