Here's what's on the stove tonight.

My niece Katie, makes a fantastic chicken noodle soup, only with the big chunks of chicken and all the vegetables and noodles, we call it chicken noodle stew. It is something that can be eaten with a fork. In the Winter, it is a perfect meal, along with a De Falco Lacryma Christi Bianco.

the soup looks great!! been looking for cabbage to make pigsinablanket. saw cabbage smaller than a softball yesterday, the other stores looked like they got the cabbage from a coal field. Rusty's potatoes look MMMMMnnnnn. i almost quit buying potatoes, espically if they smell like smoke from i guess they are stored where they have wood heaters. they look good, solid, but rot right away, and when cooked they turn grey and mussy.

We used to have church dinners sometimes. My Pastor told me "You must be the Cookie Monster". I said "Wherever 2 or more cookies are gathered together, there will I be also."

Our Minister loves "pot luck" dinners or breakfasts, so until last year we had 2 or 3 each year. Hopefully we can start having them again.

Ruthie is off tonight so I decided to be a dear and clear a path to the kitchen for her.

This was my reward:

Rusty your pot roast and carrots and potatoes looks just like the one I made the other day in the crock pot.
A couple of day's latter I used the left over roast and potatoes and added some other vegtables and made beef stew.
