Hey all, is this box legit?

End label is not filled out, but it appears to be aged in alignment with the wear and age on the rest of the box. That 2nd pic is what's written on the bottom portion of the box. Thanks.

Came with the rod and brush, which I believe are correct....

Very correct box , pre-BP, and a rare item in the condition shown. great find! The number written in crayon on the bottom of these boxes is usually the serial number of the gun, as the end lable had no place for that info., however that seems a high serial number for that old of a box. Could be that the box came to light from old storage at the time gun # 205487 (circa mid 1950s) arrived for packing for the vault. Ed
 
Nice box and right as rain! The obviously didn't have a correct box for a 6" blued Highway Patrolman, so they slapped a paper label on a box for a different N frame. There's probably printing under the label, but don't peel it off to look! :eek:

I have a similar box that my 5" nickel Model 27 came in. Since the box was for the same model with a a different finish and barrel length, they remarked it with a white grease pencil. You box is a lot nicer, but I'm very happy to have mine with the gun.
