Hi, new guy from Alabama

Hello; I was very glad to have found this forum.
I own 3 S&W's that I've bought new over the last 20 years, and a used Model 36 Chief's special that I recently acquired. I've enjoyed researching the Chief's Special on the internet very much, and am certainly glad to be here. I've seen the 'Standard S&W Catalog' mentioned alot; is this something you can get on Amazon, or is it not widely available? Thanks very much.

Hi Stilch: I am a pretty new guy here, too. Only 3 months, but have been shooting Smiths for 30 years. The Standard Catalog is a must have if you want to do some serious talking about S&W's. I recent picked up a new 3ed edition off Amazon for about $30 with shipping. I guess amazon links with book stores that have some copies available, so you have to look around and pick out the best price. You will have alot of fun here on this site and you'll get alot of educating.

Word of advice... don't get the S&W catalog, it will cause you to droll over firearms you must have! JK, I just bought one and it's a great reference!
