Looking for some advice on the Hi Viz Litewave H3 Tritium front sight for my 627 pro series. The Hi Viz catalog lists 3 sizes that it states fits all S&W revolvers with DX type front sight. My issue is that there are 3 heights available .208, .250 or .310. The factory sight on my pro series is .229 from the top of the barrel to the top of the sight. So either the .208 is .021 lower or the .250 is .21 higher. Please advise what I should go with or should I not get it and look for something else.

Thank You in advance for any advice you can provide.

I'd go with the .250" which will lower your POI, everything else the same. Then you should be able to adjust your POI up with the rear sight, as long as it's not all the way up now.

I have a 627PC & a 327 TRR8 (5" bbls.) & they both have .227" gold bead front sights.

On the 327 I replaced the front sight with a Hi-Viz .250" red front sight. I don't have any notes showing it was a problem.

The rear sight is the original & it's not adjusted abnormally for the 158gr bullets I usually shot.

I agree with Bluedot. On the .250 height sight . . And is the closest to the .227" factory sight that they sometimes use. I've had guns sent with .250"s.
I've used the .250" hiviz on my 627/327's. I dont remember making a change to the rear sight either.

Thank you BLUEDOT37 and Lou the welder for your advice. I will go forward with my purchase of the .250 version. I had to lower my rear sight about 5 clicks to get it zeroed at 10 yards so raising it back should work out great with the new sight. Thanks again I am new to the forum and the 627 pro is my first revolver. I have 6 semi auto pistols but I am liking this revolver a lot.
