hi why are "A" series 41 the best?

Try the search "Find" and you can get many opinions and the reasoning for same.

My "opinion" is that the pre "A"s are best, followed by the "A"s thru A450000 range. Problems crop up in the A500000 to A700000 range and then ups and downs since then.

But then, opinions are like as----- Etc., Etc.

A shop here in town, took one in on consignment the other day. The 5" bbl. Had 6 mags and it was proably 8 to 10 yrs old. Had only about 200 rnds thru it. According to owner. This thing looked brand new. He is selling it for 749. Mags are 35. to 40. bucks. If I had the cash I would be getting one. It did not have an A in the model or SN #. So it must be just on the newer models.

I for sure yield to Tom's knowledge since I'm new to the 41s. I speak only to my two examples which came to me used, but in almost unfired(safe queen)condition. The first is a TBD 65** and the second is an A59800**. They are both excellent shooters with CCI SV,Federal Automatch,Remington Target. I keep them cleaned/lubed with Eezox, and they don't have any problems with function. I have acquired extra barrels, and they fit without drama and I love this ability. I only wish that I had bought a 41 many years ago. Regards

That would be a 5.5 inch barrel, and definitely not an "A" series if that young. That said, my two 41s are that vintage and couldn't be nicer.
btw, new mags are usually in the $25 range.
