That darn Hickok. So much for me blaming the trigger on my SD9 for my poor shooting! As usual, Hickok hits pretty much everything he takes aim at. Not only that, but he sorta liked the trigger. Son John disagreed, though.

Now what am I gonna blame when I miss? Wind? Cheap ammo? Obama?

Thanks for posting that video. I really enjoy his videos, except that watching him shoot makes me want to put my guns away. He is not only an extremely good shot, and very experienced in all types of firearms, but apparently is an extremely nice guy as well. Very down to earth and just a good man.

If he just didn't like Glocks so much, he'd be just about close to perfect!

the first two mags he went through were Sigma mags ;-) guess they do fit the SD9 VE at least...

As usual, "hickok 45" gives a very interesting and entertaining presentation. A nice positive piece on the SD Series. That pistol is a vast improvement over the SW Series, in my opinion. Excellent video. Thanks for the heads up!

It was an excellent vid however I think he brings up the sigma to many times. people thought this was just another sigma since the release. He even stated is the best of an SD and sigma. Well technically its the best of Sigma and M&P and miles ahead of the Sigma

I've read others concerned about this, but I don't know why since the M&P series has removable rear frame rails as well.

I'm not worried about the removeable rail at all. The SD has been out for a while and I have yet to hear about their rear rail falling apart.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the rear rails support the slide in its horizontal, rearward movement...and not side to side, or up and down, right?

I've never read of any slide/frame failures (which doesn't mean there hasn't been one, but it must not be common, if it occurs at all.) I assume S&W engineers came up with a competent design, or it would show problems arising.

Well, yes... but as usual, he also backs it up with his customary outstanding shooting.

Look at the rails not the entire sear block.....the amount of plastic molded around the actual rails is minimal at best.
