I just started shooting handguns, I've always been a rifle guy. A couple weeks ago I bought a new 9mm Shield, I haven't been able to shoot it yet. The road at our local shooting range is all ice. I also ordered a Hidden Hybrid Holster for concealed carry and I just got it today, it's the HHH C1 Kydex /Leather IWB/OWB. I read several real good reviews on this holster. Has anyone used one of these holsters ?
Their website is : Hidden Hybrid Holsters They are based out of Canton, Ohio

I don't have any experience with that particular holster, but you'll probably find that the holster you like someone else will absolutely despise. With that said, I am a big fan of the hybrid holsters. There are many companies, all with similar ideas and designs, that offer for the M&P line. My advice is to wear it around the house as much as possible to break in the leather. Try different angles and adjustments and don't forget to practice drawing from each position. Also, a good sturdy belt is a must. Happy shooting and good luck with the new holster.

I have the Hidden Hybrid for my M&P's I carry the full size and the compacts in it with out any problem. It takes a little getting use to IWB but I wear it all day. It should be much more comfortable with the Shield than with a FS. They are well made.

Once it's been broken in, you won't even know that you have it on. Here's mine:

I've never had a concealed carry holster before so I didn't know if I wanted a IWB or OWB, the nice thing about this holster, I have the option of both. I tried it IWB, it didn't seem to work well because I'm a little heavy around the waist. I noticed with my 1" belt it slides up and down while drawing and holstering, so as 158grain stated, I need a better belt. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good belt ?

I have the hidden hybrid holster for the shield and absolutely love it. As for a belt I have and recommend the Comp-Tac kydex reinforced belt in 1 1/2" width. I have worn it daily for three years and it is still as good as new.
