OK. Yesterday, I saw this movie for the 1st time in probably 10 years. It was on TCM.
Part film noir, part comedy, with a stellar cast, it has a LOT of neat guns in it too.
Robert Mitchum uses a P08 .30 Luger at the end of the movie. (You get to see him loading the bottleneck cartridges into a magazine.) Vincent Price is hilarious as a ham actor on a hunting trip in Mexico. It does "borrow" from Casablanca as well as Key Largo. But, that can be overlooked. No more spoilers.
Has anyone here seen it?
